Muntingkulam - this is something Rene and I have thought off before. Back then, we were together in Manila until I had the opportunity to go here in Caracas, Venezuela. Somehow, we have ideas, a lot of concepts, so much on our head.
Now, he has the muntingkulam celphone strap. Ooops... wait a minute, do we already have a site for our muntingkulam? I think so, but we do not have a blog for it and blogging is a very helpful tool. So, before this idea be taken over by someone else, best to take it.... shape it.. and claim it!
To our readers... WELCOME TO MUNTINGKULAM ...
What would be the theme of the blog? What would be the objective? Goal? Etc? I do not know and not really so sure yet... but I am noting this as a start of a new phase of my life, a stage.. for in this blog, as a start.. I affirm myself, I accept myself ... I am a witch. Or shall I say, eh sa mangkukulam ako, ganoon talaga. I do not think it would do good to deny, but to simply accept how others see me, how my surroundings or the environment is guiding me slowly.
Why muntingkulam? I guess to make it more palatable - afterall, magic is all around us. We are all practitioners of magic. As I believe that all of us are all psychics. It is just a question of how much we believe in magic, on how much we practice rituals or chants - and on how one sees or label it. Our strength as a practitioner of magic or psychic sense varies, and that accounts for our individuality.
Kulam, Gamay, or witchcraft does not exactly connote positive images or meanings. At most, it brings horror, fears, negativitity. But like I said, we are all practitioners of magic - the simple act of lighting up a candle in the church or at home, with one's prayers or wishes, would fall under candle magic. People do things that under study would actually be considered a permutation of the ancient magic rituals or something else, or the act would be relabeled something else.
Today, I got my bamboo runes from Rene. And on my way home, I found a bamboo on the trash can on my way home. Online I got to talk to Rene, sharing how he had created the muntingkulam celphone strap.... so our dreams, our thoughts are slowly going to be a reality...
In the Philippines, a phrase to denote the fatalism or sense of destiny... Bahala na ... Me, I say... So be it... and may the way we took be lighted and guided by goodnes....
Thank you!
